Ask Laura: How to Set a Phillipe Starck Watch
Could you please tell me how to set the time on my fossil-starck, cause I do have the manual, but due to moving..it is somewhere, but where..?!
You’d make me very happy, many friend tried..but..as you know, it’s too hard..so I now have a watch which says it is 5 hours and 15 minutes earlier than it actually is.
Thanks! Evelien
Evelien,
The button on the bottom left controls the mode. When you push this button one of the four modes will flash (TIM 1, TMR, ALM 1, or CHRO). Push the mode button until TIM 1 flashes. Now, you are in Time 1 Mode. You should be able to see the time, seconds and date on the face of the watch.
Hold down the mode button until the hour starts flashing. You can now set your time. The top right hand button will move you from hours to minutes to date, etc. The bottom right hand button will change the digits. When you have set it correctly, you can press the mode button (bottom left hand button) and it will start acting like a normal watch again.
In normal time mode, you can switch to TIM 2 by pressing and holding the bottom right hand button and set the dual time in the same manner.
I hope this is helpful to you,
Laura Moncur
Thank you very much. I NEVER would have been able to figure this out without your excellent explanation.

I am so happy I found this information. I purchased the watch about four years ago in NYC-lost the directions and once the battery went so went the watch. While getting new batteries for a host of watches I was moved to resolve the problem of setting my Starck. Happy new year!

I found the fossil manual on their website (see below) to change date and timer. http://www.fossil.com/wcsstore/Fossil/images/en_US/customercare/starck_DigitalInstructions.pdf

Thanks much, this watch is lovely but impossible to set! My hubby is an electrical engineer who works on electronics 75 hrs a week and still had trouble with it, and we have not been able to figure out the alarm yet, which is insane. Thanks for the instructions too. This was a big help.

Okay it is all set EXCEPT for the alarm, anyone actually do this? I got the instructions and it still is impossible, since it scrolls thru a 60 number sequence, and it never shows me any “hours” or Am or PM in order to set the alarm. Thanks!

Can someone please confirm what model/type of battery I need for this watch?

What do you use for pressing the buttons?? I have my whach (PH1111)for 3 mounts, and i stil can’t set the time…

To set on a PH111x line watch you have to really press the buttons. They are where you would expect them to be in the top corners. Practice on the top left one (backlight) its actually just unreasonably hard to press the buttons. You’ll get it just dont be afraid to break it.

Thank you so much! I got stark 1034 from fossil in London. The shop assistants were clueless saying that the manual is downloadable from the fossils website. Your explanation worked for my watch and it’s the only link I found with the set instructions.
